Continued Growth

Continued Growth

We like using HumberPalmers fertiliser because it’s phased-release keeps feeding the grass over time. It gives us a steady flush of good, strong growth, which is just what we need to keep the stock well-fed. The grass comes through thicker too, which makes for a better crop when it’s time to cut. It does the job well and keeps the fields looking good right through the season.

Supporting Soil Health

Supporting Soil Health

We’ve been using HumberPalmers fertiliser for over 40 years and it’s never let us down. It gets into the soil and helps build strong roots, which means better grass for the stock to graze and a quicker bounce-back when it comes to cutting for hay. Year after year, whether it’s on grazing ground or hay fields, HumberPalmers always does a solid job.

Great for Palatability

Great for Palatability

I’ve been using HumberPalmers fertiliser No.17A and No.18 for several years now. The farm goes up to 1,100 feet, so I like to get an early application on in January to make sure there’s a decent flush of grass coming through in time for lambing in March. I’ve also noticed the ewes tend to graze more where the Humber Palmers has been spread – they seem to know where the good stuff is!

Trusted Performance

Trusted Performance

For over 20 years, we’ve relied on HumberPalmers fertiliser to keep our grassland in top condition. It’s played a big part in helping us grow a dense, healthy sward that stands up well to regular grazing. The grass it produces is not only thick and resilient but also highly palatable, which really suits our beef finishing system. The cattle graze it well, which helps us keep them growing efficiently. Year after year, it’s proved to be a consistent and valuable part of how we manage our pasture.

Improving Grazing Efficiency

Improving Grazing Efficiency

Since applying OptiGraze fertiliser to my grazing fields, I’ve noticed improved grazing patterns due to enhanced palatability and improved sward quality. I believe a more consistent regrowth has contributed to better overall herd health, reducing the incidence of digestive disturbances in the cows.

Wake Up Soil Biology

Since we started using SoilBoost early in the spring, we’ve seen much better regrowth throughout the season. This soil conditioner has also helped us get more out of our nitrogen and slurry applications, making the whole system more efficient and effective

HumberPalmers works for me. With a target application date of 28th January, we grow enough grass to feed Ewes and Lambs with no concentrate feed required.

Diary Cattle of All Ages Do Well

Diary Cattle of All Ages Do Well

We have been HumberPalmers customers for three generations. Our main reasons for using their fertilisers is that they are well balanced with added sulphur, trace elements and magnesium, which our dairy cattle of all ages do well on.

Soil Improvement

Soil Improvement

On our family farm we have been using HumberPalmers for several years. Many fertilisers have a short term impact but HumberPalmers year-on-year has produced excellent grass yields throughout the season. I feel since using Nitragro our soils have benefited from the positive impact it has had on the bacterial activity.

My Grass Quality has Vastly Improved

My Grass Quality has Vastly Improved

After using HumberPalmers fertiliser for the last 3 years my grass quality has vastly improved. This year we applied Opti P (23.10.0+20SO3) for first grazing and then No.17A (18.4.4+1MgO+32.5SO3) and No.18 (20.4.5+2MgO+26SO3) for silage.

Good Early Cover on High Ground

Good Early Cover on High Ground

We farm up to 1,200ft above sea level, our policy is to apply 150kg per acre of No.18 (20.4.5+2MgO+26SO3) by the end of January. The nutrients become available as the soil warms up giving good early cover on high ground.

Quality Grazing and Stock

Quality Grazing and Stock

I’ve been using HumberPalmers now for the last three years, and I’ve seen a huge difference in the quality of grazing lasting well into the summer, and more noticeably the quality of the stock grazing those fields.

Better Quality and Quantity of Grass

Better Quality and Quantity of Grass

Since using HumberPalmers we have had better quality and quantity of grass. We have also noticed over the last 2 years that the cows intake of mineral buckets has reduced which would suggest they are getting more minerals through their forage. The HumberPalmers really seems to work like a soil conditioner as well as a fertiliser.
