It gives us a steady flush of good, strong growth, which is just what we need to keep the stock well-fed. The grass comes through thicker too, which makes for a better crop when it’s time to cut. Great for Palatability

I’ve been using HumberPalmers fertiliser No.17A and No.18 for several years now. The farm goes up to 1,100 feet, so I like to get an early application on in January to make sure there’s a decent flush of grass coming through in time for lambing in March. I’ve also noticed the ewes tend to graze more where the Humber Palmers has been spread – they seem to know where the good stuff is!

Improving Grazing Efficiency

Since applying OptiGraze fertiliser to my grazing fields, I’ve noticed improved grazing patterns due to enhanced palatability and improved sward quality. Diary Cattle of All Ages Do Well

My Grass Quality has Vastly Improved

Good Early Cover on High Ground

We farm up to 1,200ft above sea level, our policy is to apply 150kg per acre of No.18 (20.4.5+2MgO+26SO3) by the end of January. The nutrients become available as the soil warms up giving good early cover on high ground.

Better Quality and Quantity of Grass

Since using HumberPalmers we have had better quality and quantity of grass. We have also noticed over the last 2 years that the cows intake of mineral buckets has reduced which would suggest they are getting more minerals through their forage.
